Rule 144
Appointment of judge for period of leave
(1) For the purpose of section 26 of the Act, the Chief Justice or the Chief Justice may appoint a judge to hear the petition for the detention during the period of leave. The information about the appointed judge should be given to the Supreme Court.
(2) The registrar shall make arrangements for other necessary staff for the assistance of the judge appointed in accordance with sub-rule (1).
(3) Employees who are employed during the period of leave of three days or more when the court is open for the purpose of witnessing of prisoners shall be provided with an additional amount equal to the salary and allowance received by them for that period.
